To reach the ranch    X Marks the spot -->
- head south of Wood Mountain on highway 18 for 12 miles [20km].
-On the way you will go past the regional and historic park, the Nickolson ranch
- keep going south until you come up on the bench and then travel til you reach the yard right on the highway [west side - Leo Munteanu’s]
-On the north side of the yard you will see a road going west.  The road rolls right into the ranch site.

Welcome to Broken Arrow Ranch…
We’re Delighted to Have You As Our Guests!
Our Cedar Log House is available for you to stay in!

Our prayer is that you will encounter Our Lord while you are here and that your heart will be blessed.  Whether you are here to help on the ranch or simply to visit; we are glad you came.  During your stay here are a few things to be mindful of:

-         you are welcome to use our upstairs stove, fridge and freezer.  We have cupboards complete with dishes, cutlery etc and ample room for any food you may bring.  As well you may help yourselves to any food, juice etc. that you find in the upstairs area.
-         firewood is in the garage - please help yourselves and when you leave could you fill the wood containers by the fireplace
-         please strip the linens off the beds you use and leave them on top of the beds when you go so we can wash them for the next guests
-         if you have brought firearms onto the ranch, please keep them locked in your vehicles and properly stored as we have curious, little people on the premises
-         please try to leave the log house tidy when you leave
-         between 8:00pm and 8:00 am we would ask that you please refrain from visiting our care home as we are putting children to bed, feeding them or getting them ready for school

We will receive youth from all areas of the province. Our desire is to work closely with the care givers. To facilitate that possibility we would provide for a place to stay while they visit the ranch.

If finances or transportation is a problem, we will endeavour to help make the necessary arrangements.

Meetings could be set up on weekends or on arranged days off.

Facility Regulations

We will comply with all provincial standards regarding housing and public health.

Chapel
We seek to construct a chapel on the ranch. The chapel would be a place where:
  • Families and visitors could go for quiet solitude.
  • Families and visitors could gather daily for spiritual reflection.
  • During a crisis it could be a location for prayer, comfort and encouragement.

The chapel would not function as a church. Families would attend a local church each Sunday and be a part of the local church community. This would prepare youth for the day they leave the ranch and become part of a local church wherever they may be.
