Solid Rock Ministries
 Broken Arrow Youth Ranch

Christ the Solid Rock Ministries and in particular Broken Arrow Youth Ranch was created to minister to families in distress. Adults overwhelmed  with personal issues find it extremely difficult to properly care for their children.  Sadly what often prevents adults from going for help is - "what do I do with my children?"

When addictions or major dysfunction is an issue in an adult’s life - when they decide to go for help - trust has often been so violated that relatives are unwilling to  become involved - questioning whether the help being sought  is genuine.  In addition - struggling adults are very wary of approaching government for fear their children may be taken away forever.

This is where we come in.  Through a private cooperative agreement we will receive children of any age for a minimum of two years while issues are attended to.  We believe two years allows adults time to work through the valleys of recovery.

The children we receive are not necessarily delinquent but if left unattended, would likely head in that direction.  Our involvement allows children to experience stability and security and with Christ’s help enables them to work out some of their issues as well [Matthew 7:24,25]. Family reunification is our desire, however, should  longer care be required, we will care for children until graduation from high school.

We offer children an opportunity to learn about our Saviour and about life in a working ranch setting complete with horses and cattle.   We have a ranch home that will house up to 10 youth.  A married couple serves as ranch parents to the boys and girls.  The home atmosphere allows for healthy spiritual and family dynamics to be developed and modeled . You can read our Statement of Faith. Retired couples who have a passion for this ministry will live on site, providing a grandparent image.  It is our goal to expand and grow as many homes as we can with children being cared for by parents and grandparents.

We do not receive any financial help from government. Donations to this ministry are received from churches, corporations and private individuals.  If you would like to help us help children you can send a donation to “Solid Rock Ministries” Box 44, Wood Mountain, Sask. S0H 4L0.

We know when children and families address personal issues through a proper understanding of God, His Son, His Word and the principles therein, and model them in their lives, they become God honouring, hard working, responsible, productive citizens.
