Financial Structure of Christ the Solid Rock Ministry Inc. Registered charity #86933 1066 RR0001
We do not want to be a financial burden to the government. Therefore we will meet our financial requirements through churches, corporations and private individuals who support our goals and objectives and are sympathetic to what we perceive as a growing need in our society. We have been in contact with private individuals and businesses and purchased the ranch land and are now planning the construction of facilities. In addition, we plan to operate the ranch through monthly donations. We believe we can not only operate the ranch [wages, food, supplies etc] but also expand the ministry to other locales on $10.00/month. By that we mean, if enough individuals can sacrifice $10.00 a month we can not only be a blessing to children but expand the ministry to other provinces as well and be an even greater blessing to children in Canada. For a detailed business plan click on "Ranch Budget" on the right hand side of the main page. As the Christian community in our province and around Canada join together we can do great things for the Lord. We are grateful for the support we have received from Ontario and all the Western Provinces. When we ponder the sacrifice Jesus gave for us; $10.00/mo. is not that much. In reality it will not be a sacrifice at all because our Lord tells us in Prov. 19:17: "He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given."
Automatic Withdrawal For those who wish
to donate to the ministry on a regular basis, we have
established an account with the Bank of Montreal. This account
will handle all those who wish to have funds withdrawn from
their personal account automatically each month. The withdrawals
are made on the 1st of each month. There may be some who do not
wish to contribute on a monthly basis and desire to make a "one
time" donation, that is fine. Whatever the donation; we do not
want someone to stop donating to other ministries in order to
give to the ranch ministry. Giving to our ministry should be
over and above what they are already donating elsewhere.
Donate Online We have established
a way to donate online using your credit card.
Principles of Fund Raising 1. God's Word will be used to test the appropriateness of all our fund raising activities. 2. We will apply biblical standards for honesty, integrity and accountability to all our fund raising activities. 3. We will factually inform supporters of our needs without resorting to pleading, begging or high pressure methods of fund raising. 4. Information regarding needs, will generally be communicated to supporters through a newsletter, personal contact or church visit. Specific inquiries will be responded to in an appropriate and timely fashion. 5. We will always encourage supporters to give to their home church before giving to this ministry. 6. All donations will be receipted to the donor in accordance with applicable government regulations 7. Donors may choose to restrict or designate their gift to a particular project or need. However we will only accept gifts that are consistent with our "statement of activities"; meeting needs recognized by our board of directors. 8. Donations requested and received for a special project or need will be used solely for that need. Further designated donations received after the need has been met will be returned to donors who may re-designate if they wish. 9. We will treat donor records as confidential. Names and addresses will not be made available to any other organizations unless requested by the donor. 10. We will provide full disclosure to supporters concerning how donated funds are being used. This will normally be accomplished through our annual report. 11. Our board has made a commitment to "no-indebtedness" as our financial foundation. In practice, this commitment places our reliance totally upon the Lord and His provision as delivered through His people. 12. We will not accept government assistance that includes any stipulations, regulations or requirements that might restrict our ability to accomplish our ministry objectives. 13. It is our intention to conduct ministry affairs in such a way as to fully comply with all governmental laws and regulations
2 Corinthians 1:12 :" Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in holiness and sincerity that are from God. We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God's grace"(NIV)
STOCK MARKET BENEFITS Because of a definite tax advantage there has been an interest in transferring "stocks" to our ministry. As a result we have established an account, through a broker, to handle any "stocks" an individual wishes to transfer to Christ the Solid Rock Ministries. Our board has passed a policy regarding stocks received. All stocks transferred to the ministry will be liquidated immediately and the proceeds injected into the ministry.
Advantage To The Local Church We believe the ranch ministry will be a great benefit to the Christian community. Families are encountering difficulties at an alarming rate which is taxing the human resources of government and churches alike. Working together, we believe we can relieve some pressure on the church and enhance the possibility of family resolution. As the church encounters families in crisis, we will provide a place for youth to go until the family issues can be sorted out. Once resolved, these families would be a tremendous encouragement to the local church, family members and acquaintances. They would then become a powerful force, testifying to the transforming power of our risen Lord. This would enable the local church to confidently reach out to families in severe crisis; knowing there is a place which can help find solutions to difficulties. The solution being a dynamic relationship with our Lord and Savior. |
